January 2008
A very short-lived burst of snow, by the afternoon it was gone.
The walk was around the fields to the south of Barlow, North Yorkshire and into Ash Spring Woods.
The cottages at the start of the gallery are at the side of the now closed Barlow rail station, a victim of Beeching, and the old railway line now forms a public footpath as far as the boundary fence of the Drax powerstation.
To the south of the track is a water-meadow which you can see with standing water in images 5 and 8.
